FOOD FOR FAMILIES FOOD DRIVE RELEASES FINAL TOTALS

Organizers for the annual KBTX Food for Families Food Drive have shared the final totals from this year’s event on December 4th.

Tallies provided on Tuesday by Brazos Valley Food Bank board member Carl Prihoda show that all six counties participating in the food drive contributed $199,624 and 136,311 pounds of food.

Food drive contributions stay local to the county they are donated in.

Tuesday’s release of the final totals comes after Brenham ISD was recognized during Monday’s school board meeting for being the source of over half of all of Washington County’s food donated toward the drive.
