CUBS GO TO 2-0 IN DISTRICT WITH WIN OVER HUNTSVILLE

The Brenham Cub Basketball Team picked up its second straight district win by beating the Huntsville Hornets 79-58 last (Friday) night at the Brenham High School Gym.

The Cubs led 43-26 at halftime, and also outscored the Hornets 36-32 in the second half to secure the win.

Elijah Ferguson was the leading scorer for Brenham with 21 points. Issac Powell was right behind him with 19 points.

The Cubs also got 15 points from Roderick Martin and 13 points from JaKobe Mathis.

Brenham is now 13-6 overall and 2-0 in district.

The Cubs are now off until next Friday, December 27, when they play in the Mike Smith Classic in Victoria.
