INMATE WHO ESCAPED FROM BELLVILLE HOSPITAL WANTED ON CHARGES INCLUDING ASSAULT ON PEACE OFFICER, INDECENCY WITH CHILD
New details have been released about the suspect who remains at large after escaping from custody Thursday night while at a Bellville hospital.
Salvador Saucedo, who was in the custody of the Waller County Sheriff’s Office, was undergoing tests at Midcoast Medical Center Bellville when he escaped around 7 p.m. Thursday.
Late this (Friday) morning, the Waller County Sheriff’s Office issued information stating that Saucedo was facing charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Resisting Arrest and Assault on a Peace Officer.
The Bellville Police Department and Austin County Sheriff’s Office say Saucedo is also a registered sex offender and is wanted for Stalking and Indecency with a Child out of Brazos County.
Saucedo is a Hispanic male who was said to be wearing an orange shirt and blue jeans. He has face tattoos, missing front teeth and brown hair with red highlights.
The Bellville Police Department said the subject was still at large as of 9:30 a.m. today (Friday), with no reported sightings of him. At this time, it is not known if he is still in the Bellville area.
Saucedo was not handcuffed when he escaped, and it is unknown if he is armed.
Multiple law enforcement agencies are continuing to search, utilizing a DPS helicopter, drones and K-9 units.
Anyone who knows where Saucedo may be located is asked to contact the Waller County Sheriff’s Office at 979-826-8282 or, in case of an emergency, 911.
Why was this offender not cuffed? He should have at least been ankle cuffed!
