WASHINGTON CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE REPORTS ARRESTS FOR CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE WARRANT, NO DRIVER’S LICENSE
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested two people on Thursday.
Just before 10:30 a.m., Deputy Holmes initiated a traffic stop in the 2500 block of Gun and Rod Road for failure to signal a turn. The driver, identified as 37-year-old Jose Arnoldo Lezama Ordonez of Houston, did not have a valid driver’s license. The sheriff’s office says he also had an active immigration violation with Immigration and Customs Enforcement for Alien Unlawfully Present Due to Order of Removal or Exclusion from the United States. Lezama Ordonez was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Washington County Jail, where he was charged with No Driver’s License along with the detainer for ICE.
Approaching 6:15 p.m., Sgt. Himebaugh conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of Old Navasota Road for no front license plate. A routine check revealed that the driver, 22-year-old Patrick Allen Wells III of Winnsboro, had an active warrant in Rusk County. Wells was booked into the Washington County Jail for Motion to Revoke Probation – Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, Less Than a Gram.
