Game two is set for 6 p.m. on Friday in Brenham, and if necessary, game three will begin at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
The matchup will pit the Region XIV South rivals against each other with a berth in the NJCAA Division I Baseball World Series on the line.
The two teams are facing off in the super regional for a second consecutive season after Blinn took the series 2-1 in 2024 before moving on to capture the national championship.
The Buccaneers (44-13), who won the South regular-season title over the Ravens by one game, are looking to advance to the JUCO World Series in Grand Junction, Colo., for a third consecutive season. San Jacinto (39-15) hopes to qualify for the first time since 2022.
The Ravens took four of seven from the Bucs this spring.
Blinn punched its ticket to the super regional by way of a 4-1 record in the Region XIV South Regional Tournament. The top-seeded Bucs lost the tournament opener before winning four in a row against Northeast Texas Community College, Paris Junior College, and Wharton County Junior College (two games) to stave off elimination and advance.
San Jacinto entered the Region XIV North Regional Tournament as the bracket’s second seed and defeated Tyler Junior College, Bossier Parish Community College, and Tyler once again in the title tilt to reach the super regional.
Blinn third-year head coach Dusty Hart (137-45 with the Bucs) leads his team against longtime friend, former colleague, and first-year Ravens skipper Eric Weaver. Following eight seasons as an assistant at San Jacinto, Weaver served as Blinn’s associate head coach and pitching coach in 2023 and 2024.
