SHERIFF’S OFFICE MAKES ARRESTS ON CHARGES OF SMUGGLING, NO LICENSE
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office reported two arrests between Monday and Tuesday, including one for a charge of smuggling.
Shortly after 6:45 p.m. Monday, deputies were dispatched to the 1700 block of North Park Street regarding an individual wanted by the Uvalde Police Department. The sheriff’s office said the subject had left the scene prior to their arrival. Deputies and Brenham police proceeded to the 2600 block of Old Masonic Road, where the subject was found to be hiding under a residence. 37-year-old Julian Ray Vela of Ennis was transported to the Washington County Jail and charged with Smuggling of Persons.
Around 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, Deputy Brown was dispatched to the 100 block of West Main Street regarding a subject with an active warrant. 22-year-old Tremane Cole Daniels of Brenham was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail, where he was charged with No Driver’s License.
