WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS TO VOTE ON HEALTH INSURANCE CONTRIBUTIONS

Washington County Commissioners will take up employee health insurance when they meet on Tuesday.

The court will look to approve the county’s health insurance contribution amounts and dental, vision and ancillary coverages for the October 1st renewal for the 2025-26 plan year.

Additionally, commissioners will look to renew the county’s contract with MedTrust, also known as MedHealth, for medical services at the county jail.

In other business, commissioners will possibly approve the purchase of a capital project tracking module through ClearGov, the county’s budgeting software.  The module is intended to allow for comprehensive planning, monitoring and reporting of capital improvement projects.

Also at Tuesday’s meeting, the court will:

  • Hear a presentation from the Washington County Historical Commission and the quarterly report from the Office of Emergency Management.
  • Consider authorizing the hiring of a county court at law coordinator approximately six months in advance of the current employe’s anticipated departure in order to allow sufficient time for training, transition and continuity of operations.
  • Vote on a budget amendment from salary contingency to the county court at law coordinator.

Commissioners will meet Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the Washington County Courthouse.
