BURTON VOLLEYBALL OPENS DISTRICT WITH A WIN OVER MUMFORD
The Burton Lady Panther Volleyball Team opened up District 26-2A play yesterday (Friday) afternoon with a three-set sweep over Mumford.
Burton won the sets 25-15, 25-18, and 25-18.
Laci Broesche just missed a triple-double. She recorded eight kills, 23 assists, and 12 digs. Adison Harmel dished out 14 assists.
Lexi Broesche had 11 kills and 11 digs. Kinsey Lunbeck added eight kills.
Paige Fritsch led the defense with 17 digs, and also finished with four aces. Taylor Groce chipped in with 11 digs as well.
The Lady Panthers are now 28-9 overall and 1-0 in district. They are next scheduled to host Hearne on Tuesday at the Burton High School Gym. The JV begin at 5pm, followed by the Varsity afterwards.
