SHERIFF’S OFFICE MAKES ARRESTS FOR VEHICLE BURGLARY, PAROLE WARRANT
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office reports four arrests between Sunday and Thanksgiving Thursday.
Shortly after 4:15 p.m. Sunday, deputies responded to the 500 block of North Main Street in Burton regarding a burglary of a vehicle. The caller advised that a neighbor observed a male subject looking in the caller’s vehicle. The suspect was located and positively identified by the neighbor as being the person he saw rummaging through the vehicle. 64-year-old Gregory Paul Lockett of Brenham, who the sheriff’s office said appeared to be intoxicated, was taken into custody. Lockett was transported to the Washington County Jail and charged with Public Intoxication and Burglary of a Vehicle.
Around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Deputy Matthew Brown conducted a traffic stop on Highway 290 in Chappell Hill for an expired registration. The driver, 23-year-old Denilson Rolando Lopez-Ical of Spring, reportedly did not have a driver’s license. Lopez-Ical was transported to the Washington County Jail on a charge of No Driver’s License.
Just past 9:15 p.m., Deputy Carson Holton conducted a traffic stop at FM 1155 East and FM 2193 for disregarding a stop sign. The sheriff’s office detected an odor of marijuana during the contact, and a search of the vehicle led to the discovery of marijuana and a pill that tested positive for MDMA. The driver, 34-year-old Ashley Nicole Jackson of Washington, was taken into custody and booked at the Washington County Jail for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2, Less Than a Gram, and Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz.
At 5:45 a.m. Thursday, Corporal Bryan Solis responded to a welfare concern call of an individual walking in the roadway at Highway 105 and Wellman Road. The individual was located and identified as 38-year-old Brandon O’Neal Andrews of Brenham. Andrews was found to have an active parole warrant for Forgery Financial Instrument Elderly and was taken to the Washington County Jail.
