WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS TO READ PROCLAMATION SUPPORTING RESPONSIBLE DEVELOPMENT, PRIVATE PROPERTY RIGHTS
Washington County Commissioners have a brief list of items set for their next meeting on Tuesday.
First will be the reading of a proclamation supporting responsible development, private property rights, and the implementation and enforcement of the county’s subdivision and development regulations within the unincorporated areas of the county.
The commissioners court moved in March to approve several updates to the county’s subdivision and development regulations and its design and construction standards. County Engineer Wesley Stolz said at the time that the changes are being made to increase the county’s standards to be more in line with nearby counties, but are not intended to burden existing taxpayers or impede development.
Next will be another proclamation, declaring May 18-22 as Flood Awareness Week.
A pair of formal notices from Magnolia Oil and Gas Operating, LLC will be considered. The notices are for temporary lay flat water lines along the county right-of-way of Iron Bridge Road, Rehburg Road, Koether Road, Sandtown Road and Schoenemann Road in Precinct 4.
Commissioners will meet Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the Washington County Courthouse.
