APPEL FORD PARTICIPATING IN GLOBAL FOOD DRIVE
Appel Ford in Brenham is participating in the Ford Building Together initiative to alleviate hunger and food insecurity.
The dealership, located at 1820 Highway 290 West, is accepting non-perishable food donations through Wednesday, September 30th.
Last year, Appel Ford had a goal to collect 400 pounds of food, but doubled it with over 800 pounds. Appel Ford Owner Jon Hill said in a video on the dealership's Facebook page that this year, they are aiming to collect over 1,200 pounds of food.
Donations will be given to the Faith Mission Food Pantry, to be distributed to the citizens of Washington County.
Across the globe, more than 3,600 Ford dealers are looking to break last year’s food drive record of 1.7 million pounds of food collected.
