A Brenham Junior High student faces charges after allegedly assaulting a teacher.
Last Friday, School Resource Officer Sierra Newell of the Brenham Police Department, was informed by a teacher at the Junior High, that a student had assaulted her.
Investigation revealed the 13 year old male student assaulted the teacher after the teacher took the student’s cell phone away from him during class.
The student was referred to Washington County Juvenile Probation and Court, taken into custody and charged with Assault of a Public Servant.
The student was transported to the Brazos County Juvenile Detention Facility.
