COCAINE BUNDLES FOUND DURING I-10 TRAFFIC STOP

Two people from Laredo have been arrested following a traffic stop in Fayette County.

Wednesday Narcotics Canine Unit, SGT Randy Thumann and K9 partner Kolt, stopped a vehicle on I-10 just after 12:00 noon.

Thumann says he became suspicious that the vehicle may be involved in transporting illegal narcotics because the driver was acting in a suspicious and erratic manner.

Kolt alerted to the presence of illegal narcotics.

A search of the vehicle turned up approximately 7.5 kilos of cocaine bundles spray foamed inside a Karaoke machine in the rear seat, with an estimated street value of $750,000 dollars.

The driver, 35-year old Sandra Mendiola Garza and passenger, 37-year old Alifonzo Garza Jr., both from Laredo,  were arrested for Felony Cocaine Possession and taken to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center.
