FORMER BHS CROSS-COUNTRY STAR CRITICALLY INJURED
A GoFundMe account has been set up for former Brenham High School Cross Country runner, Matthew Spahn.
Spahn received massive serious injuries when he was struck by a car while walking late Saturday evening in Brenham.
The 21-year old Spahn suffered two broken legs, internal injuries and suffered serious injuries to the left side of his face.
Spahn was a State Qualifier at Brenham High School and went on to run collegiately at Pratt Community College.
Spahn’s coach at Brenham, Trenton Hall says he is, “in a fight for his life, but his heart is strong.”
According to Hall, Spahn will have a long road to recovery, and his family will need financial help to handle their medical bills.
