BRYAN PAIR ARRESTED FOR STOLEN HEARSE-BODY
Investigators in Brazos County have made two arrests in the bizarre case of a stolen hearse and the disposal of a dead body.
Authorities believe 28-year old Tanya Albrecht of Bryan, took the hearse, which contained a dead body, from the parking lot of a Bryan convenience store early Friday morning.
The driver of the hearse said he momentarily left the vehicle unattended in the parking lot.
A short time later, the body that was in the back of the vehicle was dumped along a rural road north of Wixon Valley in Brazos County.
Shortly after noon, the stolen vehicle was spotted near the Edge community northeast of Bryan. Inside were Albrecht and a man identified as 27-year-old Adam Crow, also of Bryan.
Both Albrecht and Crow are facing charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Albrecht is also facing a charge of "abuse of a corpse."
The body, which authorities have not identified, had been picked up from the Travis County Medical Examiner's Office.
