FEMA DISASTER CENTER IN LEE CO. CLOSING DOWN

  

The FEMA disaster recovery center in Lee County is closing this weekend.

The center, located at the Giddings Medical Center on East Austin St. will close at 2:00 tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon.

After the centers close, Texans whose homes or businesses were affected by the April storms and May-June floods can still register for assistance, get updates about applications, learn about the appeals process or check the status of their claim the following ways:

  • online at gov
  • phone 800-621-3362 (FEMA).
  • at a disaster recovery center. To find the nearest one, go online to the disaster recovery center locator at fema.gov/inter/locator.
