WASHINGTON-ON-THE-BRAZOS SUNDOWN SOCIAL HAPPENING THIS SATURDAY
The Washington on the Brazos State Park Association will host its annual Sundown Social on Saturday.
This fundraising event starts with cocktails and appetizers, followed by a gourmet chuck wagon steak dinner by Jimmy Detro and musical entertainment by the 2016 Texas State Musician recipient Joe Ely.
Some the auction items to be featured in the event’s “Texian Treasures Auction and Raffle” include: dinner with Representative Leighton Schubert for 18 guests, Argentina dove hunt and fishing on the Parana River for four guests, a picturesque stay in lovely Alpine, Texas, dinner for 30 catered by 96 West, a private tour of San Jacinto Monument and Battleship Texas, and much more.
The event will be emceed by Nick Hinze.
All proceeds from the evening benefit Washington on the Brazos State Park Association.
