BRENHAM MAN ARRESTED ON THEFT WARRANT AND MARIJUANA

  

A 19-year old Brenham man was arrested for a theft warrant and the misdemeanor possession of marijuana Monday afternoon during a traffic stop in the 1000 block of West Main.

Brenham police officer Lance Weiss stopped  a SUV for traffic violation in front of the Brenham Food Mart at about 2:40 pm.

When Officer Weiss approached the vehicle he could smell burning marijuana.  A search found a small amount.  A check with dispatch discovered that the driver, Jerald Bryan Wright-Adams was wanted on a warrant for theft between $500 and $1500.  Adams was arrested.
