Ben Flencher small — Ben Flencher of the Somerville branch of the Citizens State Bank, is now the President of the Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative Board.

The Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative’s board of directors unanimously elected Ben Flencher as the Board chair Tuesday, during its June meeting. Flencher has served on the Board as the vice-president since 2007. He succeeds Rick Schmidt, who opted not to seek the chairmanship after serving 13 years.

Flencher has serviced on Bluebonnet’s bopard since 1987. He represents District Five, that includes Somerville. He is the President of the Citizen’s State Bank in Somerville.

Kenneth Mutscher small — Kenneth Mutscher

Bluebonnet’s board also elected three other directors to service as officers. Ken Mutscher was leected the vice-chairman. He joined Bluebonnet’s board in 1998 and represents District 7 that includes Washington County.

Roderick Emanuel was elected as the secretary treasurer. He has served since 2011 and represents district 3 in Bastrop County.

Byron Balke was re-elected assistant secretary treasurer/ Balke has been on the board since 2000 and represents District 6 including Austin, Colorado, and Fayette Counties.
