ONE PERSON ARREST ON AGGRAVATED SEXUAL ASSAULT OF A CHILD CHARGE

  

One person was arrested in Wallis on Saturday on an Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child Charge.

The Austin County Sheriff’s Special Response Team and the Wallis Police Department executed a First Degree Felony Warrant at Janicek Street in Wallis on Saturday, around 2:10 am.

Forty-seven-year old David Ray McGee was taken into custody and charged with Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child, which is a First Degree Felony, and was transported to the Austin County Jail by the Wallis Police Department.

Austin County Sheriff Jack Brandes says that “I am very pleased that the Wallis Police Department and the Austin County Sheriff’s office were able to work together to bring this person to justice and protect our citizens, especially our children of Austin County.

                                                                                        McGee is currently in jail with a $700,000 bond.
