11 STATES SUE OVER NEW FEDERAL TRANSGENDER BATHROOM DIRECTIVE

  

Texas is just one of 11 states suing the Obama administration over the new federal directive to U.S. schools to let transgender students use the bathrooms and locker rooms that match their gender identity.

The lawsuit asks a judge to declare the directive unlawful, as it accuses the Obama administration of "running roughshod over commonsense policies" that protect children.

Conservative states had vowed defiance since the Justice Department handed down the guidance.
