BRENHAM POLICE ARREST HOUSTON MAN ON DRUG AND WEAPON CHARGES
A Houston man was arrested on Tuesday after being found with marijuana and a weapon.
Around 12:20 p.m., Brenham Police Officer Mateo Guillen observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the 3000 Block of South Chappell Hill St.
A probable cause search was conducted due to the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.
The driver, 29-year-old Sefian Akram Elkotob was taken into custody for Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz and Unlawful Carrying of Weapon.
Elkotob was transported to the Washington County Jail where he was transferred to jail staff without incident.
