OVER 300 VOTES CAST FRIDAY IN DIST. 13 SPECIAL ELECTION

  

Friday was the biggest day yet for Early Voting for the May 5th Special Election for District 13 State Representative.

According to Washington County Clerk Beth Rothermel, 322 early ballots were cast yesterday (Friday), bringing the five-day total to 1097 votes cast.

There are 2 days left for Early Voting in the Special Election – Monday and Tuesday.  Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Courthouse Annex, at 100 South Park St.

There are 3 candidates on the ballot, Democrat: Cecil Webster and two Republicans: Ben Lehman and Jill Wolfskill.   The winner will fill the post until the end of 2018.

Election Day is next Saturday.  Only 4 locations will be open for voting from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Precinct 1 will vote at the Event Center at the Fairgrounds.

Precinct 2 will vote at the VFW Hall.

Precinct 3 will vote at the Nancy Carol Library Library.

And Precinct 4 will vote at the Blinn College Student Center.

Leman and Wolfskill are also involved in a separate runoff election, later next month, to decide the Republican candidate to face Webster in November’s general election.
