SOMERVILLE WOMAN ARRESTED ON DRUG CHARGES

  

A Somerville woman was arrested in Brenham on drug charges.

Thursday, around 9 a.m., Washington County Deputy Chris Garcia conducted a traffic stop in the 1100 block of Highway 290 West.  While talking to the driver, 35-year-old Jessica Lynn Reeves, Deputy Garcia noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside her vehicle.

Upon searching the vehicle, Deputy Garcia confiscated a small bag of cocaine, as well as various drug paraphernalia.  Reeves was taken into custody for the Possession of a Controlled Substance—a state jail felony, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Driving While License Invalid.

She was taken to the Washington County Jail, where she was adjudicated by Justice of the Peace Douglas Zwiener.  She is currently out on bonds totaling $6,000.
