The daughter of an Austin County Sheriff’s Officer recently received a $500 scholarship.

The Sheriff’s Association of Texas has awarded the Sheriff J.W. Jankowski Memorial Scholarship for the upcoming semester to Heather Ruemke.  Heather is the daughter of Austin County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Billy Ruemke and Pam Ruemke.

Heather is currently a senior studying Animal Science at Tarleton State University in Stephenville.
