Authorities in Bryan believe they have found the body of a missing 3-year old girl.

Investigators, searching for Rayven Shields, found a body, Saturday, buried in the backyard of a Bryan home where Shields lived.

Police say the body has been sent for an autopsy. No charges have been filed yet in connection to the body's discovery.

35-year-old Virginia Ann Adams, Rayven’s mother, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of interference with child custody. She remained jailed Sunday on $75,000 bond.

Investigators claim Adams gave them several conflicting stories while they searched for her missing child.  Police say none of those stories proved to be true.

On July 30, Adams refused to tell the Department of Family and Protective Services where Rayven was or if she was safe.

She later told police a woman had Rayven at a home in Brenham, but changed her story again.

The Bryan Police Department originally arrested Adams for interfering with child custody—those charges are expected to change.
