The community came out in full force Wednesday night to support Brenham's athletic programs at "Meet the Cubs."

The annual event, held at Cub Stadium, introduced the community to Brenham's Cubs and Cubettes, cheerleaders and band members.  The Brenham Booster Club provided free popcorn and water to those in attendance.

The Cubs open their football season next Friday, August 31st, in a non-district home game versus Magnolia West.  Kickoff at Cub Stadium is 7:30 p.m., with pregame coverage beginning at 7 p.m. on KWHI AM 1280, FM 101.7, and kwhi.com.
