NEW WASHINGTON CO. JAIL ADMINISTRATOR INTRODUCED AT COMMISSIONERS MEETING

The Washington County Jail’s new captain was introduced at today’s (Tuesday) county commissioners meeting.
Captain Eric Hensley is the new Washington County Jail Administrator. Hensley takes the position formerly held by Captain Jerry Greene, who passed away in November after a sudden illness. Greene had been with the Sheriff’s Department for six years.
Capt. Hensley previously spent 17 years as a Sergeant with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. Washington County Sheriff Otto Hanak spoke at length of his credentials, stating his certifications as a SWAT Officer, Advanced Peace Officer, and Police and Firearms Instructor.
Sheriff Hanak also cited Capt. Hensley’s Master Jail License, over 2,500 training hours with the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement, membership in the Texas Jail Association, and honorable discharge from the United States Marines.
Commissioners welcomed Capt. Hensley, saying they looked forward to working with him.
