LOCAL FIREFIGHTERS RESCUE DOG FROM BURNING HOME
The Brenham Fire Department rescued a family dog from a smoke-filled house, Saturday.
Firefighters were called to a structure fire in the 1500 block of Williams Street, Saturday night, just after 8:00.
When they arrived, the department found all residents of the home had gotten out—but said their family dog was still inside.
Firefighters entered the smoke-filled home and rescued the dog, who was uninjured and reunited with the family.
The department says the fire was in a bedroom and they were able to extinguish the flames.
There was damage to the bedroom and moderate smoke damage throughout the house.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
