BURTON CITY COUNCIL TO ADDRESS SHORT AGENDA TUESDAY

Increasing monthly payment to Burton’s water meter reader will be among the short list of items tomorrow (Tuesday) for the Burton City Council.

The council will look at upping payment for the contract employee hired by the city to read all the city’s meters.  The council will consider increasing the payment from $300 per month to $500 per month.

Also in session, the council will administer oath of office to councilmembers serving a two-year term.  Mayor David Zajicek, along with councilmembers Jerry Martin and Nathan Kalkhake, will be sworn in for another term.

The council will also consider appointing a councilmember to the position of Mayor Pro-Tem.  Councilmember Jeff Eckhart currently holds the Mayor Pro-Tem position.

Councilmembers will also go through an annual procedure for police to accept audit of the seizure funds, as required by the code of criminal procedure.  They will also go through a series of reports.

The council will meet tomorrow afternoon at 5:30 p.m., at Burton City Hall.
