UNITY THEATRE UNVEILS LINEUP FOR 25TH ANNIVERSARY SEASON
Unity Theatre in Brenham is looking to wow audiences as it raises the curtains on its 25th season.
The 25th anniversary season features four main stage shows and two studio shows, including a Christmas show and summer comedy.
The Main Stage series kicks off with a bang, presenting Christopher Sergel’s adaptation of the Harper Lee classic To Kill a Mockingbird. The drama will run from September 26th to October 13th.
The first installment of the Studio Series follows from October 31st to November 10th, with the drama Beast on the Moon by Richard Kalinoski.
Following that will be the holiday special A Christmas Story. The comedy by Philip Grecian will run on the Main Stage from December 5th to the 22nd.
A new year of performances on the Main Stage will begin on February 13, 2020, with the romantic musical Daddy Long Legs. The show, with music and lyrics by Paul Gordon and book by John Caird, will run through March 1, 2020.
The second Studio Series production follows, with the production of The Diaries of Adam and Eve. David Birney’s adaption of the Mark Twain romantic comedy will run from April 16-26, 2020.
The final Main Stage show of the season comes from the authors of The Savannah Sipping Society. The comedy titled The Dixie Swim Club will run from June 4-21, 2020.
Unity Theatre is still performing its 2018-19 season, with Breadcrumbs playing now through May 19th in the studio, Brighton Beach Memoirs coming up on the Main Stage June 13-30, and A Pocketful of Rhymes on the Main Stage July 25-28.
