ROUND TOP MUSIC FESTIVAL BEGINS JUNE 8TH

  

The 49th Round Top Music Festival opens next week at Festival Hill in Round Top.

Over 90 artists from around the world will arrive at Festival Hill Sunday, beginning six weeks of performances on June 8th.

The Texas Festival Orchestra, body of the young artists, will present eight programs: six of them on Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., one free specifically designed for toddlers and teenagers on June 11th at 11 a.m., and the “Patriotic Concert” on June 30th at 3 p.m.

The orchestra will rehearse every weekday from 3:30 to 6 p.m. in the Festival Concert Hall.  Rehearsals are free and open to the public.

Some of the guest conductors this year include Austrian Christian Arming, Brazilian Linus Lerner, Columbian Andres Franco, Puerto Rican Emilio Colón, and British Benjamin Zander.
