FALL SPORTS SEASON KICKS OFF WITH “MEET THE CUBS”

The stands at Cub Stadium in Brenham were full Wednesday night, for the annual “Meet the Cubs”.

Hundreds were on hand to meet the members of Brenham’s athletic programs and kick off the fall season.

Members of the Cubs and Cubette sports teams, cheerleaders, mascots, band members and dance teams were all introduced.  High School Principal Joseph Chandler, Athletic Director Eliot Allen, and Superintendent Dr. Walter Jackson each addressed the crowd before the program.

The football season kicks off next Friday with a non-district away game at Magnolia West.  Kickoff there is 7 p.m., with pregame coverage starting at 6:30 p.m. on KWHI AM 1280, FM 101.7, and kwhi.com.
