BURTON AND ROUND TOP-CARMINE SET AREA PLAYOFFS

The Burton Lady Panthers are set for the Area Round of the Region IV/2A, U.I.L. Volleyball Playoffs.

The Lady Panthers (30-16) will take on the Weimar Lady Wildcats, Thursday night at 6:30 at Columbus High School.

The Lady Panthers swept Milano, 25-18, 25-17, 25-16, Tuesday night in Somvervllle.  The Lady Wildcats defeated Woodsboro, 25-12, 25-7, 25-15.

Thursday's match can be heard live on AM 1280 KWHI, FM 101.7 and www.kwhi.com beginning at 6:00 with Doug Brown and Darrel Kieke.

The Round Top-Carmine Cubettes will square off with Runge, Thursday night in the Region IV/A Area Playoffs.

The Cubettes had a bye in the opening round, while the Yellow Jackets beat Waelder, 25-21, 25-15, 25-12, Tuesday night.

The match is set for Thursday night at 6:00 at Waelder High School.
