BLINN LIVESTOCK JUDGING TEAM PLACES SECOND AT SAN ANTONIO

  

Behind a pair of top-ten individual performances, the Blinn College livestock judging team placed second at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo Friday.

Blinn finished the day with 4,573 team points, second only to Butler Community College in Kansas.

Laurel Kelley placed second in swine, fifth in reasons, and tenth in cattle to earn 930 points and a seventh-place finish overall.  Cole Youtz totaled 927 points for tenth place.

Kate Stedje placed sixth in swine and placed 14th overall with 920 points.  Rylee Cass, who placed eighth in sheep, scored 915 points to place 18th, and Addison Coburn was 20th overall with 914 points.  John Kelley placed sixth in cattle, and Hunter Bean placed ninth in swine.

Blinn’s next competition will be at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo on March 16th.
