BRENHAM MCJROTC WINS TOP HONORS IN DAYTON

The Brenham High School Marine Corps Junior ROTC Reapers earned top honors this past Saturday at the Dayton High School Drill Meet.

Brenham won First Place Overall in both the Armed and Unarmed divisions, and delivered one of the most dominant performances of the competition with decisive scoring margins.

The Unarmed Division captured 1st place in Exhibition, Color Guard, Inspection, and Regulation, securing Overall First Place by more than 900 points over the second-place team out of a possible 4,000 points.

Valeria Alfaro earned Outstanding Unarmed Regulation Commander, recording a commander score of 91, which was 30 points higher than the next highest commander score in the division.

The Armed Division earned 1st place in Exhibition, Color Guard, and Regulation, along with 2nd Place in Inspection, to claim Overall First Place in the Armed Division by 800 points out of 4,000.

Allison Mendoza earned Outstanding Armed Regulation Commander, which gave the Reapers the top commander honors in both Armed and Unarmed Regulation events.

Next up, Brenham will head to William J. Brennan High School in San Antonio on Saturday, February 21, to continue their drill competition season.
