REGISTRATION NOW OPEN FOR SPRING EGG ART WALK IN DOWNTOWN BRENHAM

  

Beautifully decorated giant eggs will help welcome Spring to Downtown Brenham next month as Main Street Brenham holds its annual “Spring Egg Art Walk”.

Artists of all ages are encouraged to enter the “Spring Egg Art Walk”, which will have both adult and student categories.  Just under $1000 in cash prizes will be awarded in the contest, including $200 for the Grand Prize from Kieke Egg Farm.  Cash prizes will also be awarded for Most Creative, Most Votes, and Judges’ Choice for both adults and students.  Other sponsors include Brunmillers Soapworks, Board and Brush, The Pomegranate/Funky Art Café, City Council member Susan Cantey, The Canyon Chick and Scrubs ‘n Stuff Boutique.

Main Street Brenham will be providing the wooden egg cut-outs for entrants free of charge.  Artists can decorate their egg in whatever creative way they wish, including attaching objects to it.  Complete instructions and entry forms are available online at www.downtownbrenham.com.  You can enter online or print out the form and return it to Brenham City Hall or the Visitor Center at The Barnhill Center.  The deadline to enter is next Monday, March 2nd, with the eggs going on display by March 20th.
