According to Bluebonnet’s online outage map, as of 8 a.m. this (Wednesday) morning, Bluebonnet is responding to roughly 50 outages affecting just under 1,900 members across its service area, as a result of the severe storm that moved through the area overnight.  Bluebonnet says outages are scattered throughout the area, but the largest concentration of outages are in Burleson, Washington, and Lee Counties.

An outage south of Caldwell in Burleson County, near the intersection of Highway 21 and FM 60, affected 526 members.  Power has been restored to over 330 of those members.  Crews have determined the outage was caused by a tree falling into power lines in a creek bottom, and have brought in equipment to repair the damage and restore power.

There are also outages in north Burleson County affecting roughly 150 members, along with separate outages affecting a few dozen members in the south and west portions of the county.

In Washington County, smaller outages have been reported across the county affecting roughly 170 members, with higher concentrations east of Brenham and east of Independence.
