BRENHAM ISD TO PARTICIPATE IN MEALS-TO-YOU PROGRAM
Brenham ISD is partnering with the U.S. Department of Agriculture and Baylor University to provide a program to deliver meals to families for free.
Brenham ISD students who are already eligible for free or reduced-price meals are invited to participate in the Meals-to-You program. When families sign up for the program, every other week they will receive a Meals-to-You box delivered to their home for each child 1-18 in their household.
Each box includes ten breakfasts and ten lunches/suppers worth of shelf-stable food, enough for each child for two weeks. The program is being offered in addition to Brenham ISD’s current drive-thru meal program in place.
Families looking to sign up can fill out an online form at https://mealstoyou.org/emergency-meals-to-you-application/ and submit it by Friday. Information can also be found on the Brenham ISD COVID-19 webpage. Boxes will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Anyone with questions can call the Brenham ISD Child Nutrition Department Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 979-277-3750.
