BRAZOS CO. ACCIDENT CLAIMS 13-YEAR OLD’S LIFE
A 13-year old Bryan boy is dead after a one-vehicle accident, Monday afternoon in Brazos County.
DPS Troopers say distracted driving was a factor in a deadly crash on Highway 21 near Kurten.
A DPS spokesman says the wreck involving a pickup truck with four people inside.
Pronounced dead at the scene was 13-year old Jorge Mulato of Bryan.
Investigators say they have determined the 18-year-old driver of the truck was using a cell phone when the vehicle veered off the road and rolled over.
The driver is listed in stable condition. An 18-year-old passenger was seriously injured and a 19-year-old passenger suffered non-life threatening injuries.
