“SUMMER SIP AND ART WALK” SLATED FOR AUGUST 8TH IN DOWNTOWN BRENHAM
The popular “Summer Sip” held annually in downtown Brenham will take on a different look this year.
Saturday, August 8th, Main Street Brenham will host the “Summer Sip and Art Walk”. Like the “Summer Sips” and “Uptown Swirls” held in previous years, the event encourages people to come explore stores downtown and shop while sampling different kinds of drinks with collectible drink glasses, which serve as tickets for the event.
Shannan Canales, co-owner of Las Americas Latin Cuisine, one of this year’s participating businesses, says this year’s event is unique in that it will feature local artists.
Canales said to keep in line with COVID-19 regulations, participating businesses will offer hand sanitizer, keep their doors open, and limit the amount of people inside at any given time.
Canales said this event will also be different because businesses will get to choose what drinks they serve.
In addition, Las Americas Latin Cuisine, Pioneer Smokehouse, and Volare Italian Restaurant will offer drink specials to customers who bring their glasses in.
Glasses are now available at downtown businesses for $25, and will become available online at www.downtownbrenham.com/summersip starting July 6th. Glasses purchased the day of the event will be $35. A limited number of glasses are available.
The 27 participating businesses in the “Summer Sip and Art Walk” include: Anatomy Boutique, Ballad of the Bird Dog, Board and Brush, Branded Boutique, Brenham Heritage Museum, Brunmillers Soapworks, Downtown Art Gallery, Hermann Furniture, Kolor Katalyst Studio Salon, Las Americas, New Dimensions, Organic Hemp Botanicals, Pioneer Smokehouse, Puppy Dawgs and Cat Tails, Ranch Interiors, Scrubs N Stuff, Sweet Repeats, The Book Nook, the Canyon Chick, the Gunnery, The Pomegranate, the Southern Fox, Timeless Designs, Tres Chic Boutique, Tribal Trends, Woman’s Cave, and Volare Italian Restaurant.
