BRENHAM ANIMAL SERVICES TO “CLEAR THE SHELTER” EACH SATURDAY IN AUGUST
Brenham Animal Services will hold its annual “Clear the Shelters” adoption event in August, but this time it will look a little different.
Animal Services Manager Allison Harper says instead of holding one large event on one day, “Clear the Shelters” will be held throughout the month, waiving adoption fees each Saturday.
Adopters are encouraged to visit the shelter’s online Pet Finder page to choose a pet they are interested in before coming to the shelter. They can also make an appointment by visiting the Brenham Animal Services Facebook page, or by calling 979-337-7351.
The shelter currently has nine dogs for adoption, and expects two litters of kittens to be available later in the month.
As part of this year’s campaign, NBC has partnered with GreaterGood.org to create the Clear the Shelters Fund. Those looking to support the Brenham Pet Adoption Center can visit the website to make a donation. The fund will go live tomorrow (Saturday), and funds raised from August 1st through August 9th will be matched dollar-for-dollar.
