LOUISIANA MAN INDICTED IN AUSTIN CO. FOR INDECENCY WITH A CHILD

A Louisiana man is out on bond after being indicted last week by the Austin County Grand Jury for Indecency with a Child – Sexual Contact.
71-year-old Gerald Matherne of Morgan City, Louisiana was arrested September 23rd by the Sealy Police Department on the second degree felony charge. The indictment returned by the Grand Jury states that Matherne engaged in sexual contact with a child under 17 years of age between May 31, 2011 and September 1, 2014.
Online court records indicate Matherne posted bond Wednesday, November 18th.

Also indicted last week was 32-year-old Austin Bollinger of Sealy. Bollinger remains in jail after being arrested October 21st by the Austin County Sheriff’s Office, charged with Assault of a Peace Officer or Judge, a second degree felony, and Assault of a Family or Household Member Impeding Breath or Circulation, a third degree felony.
The indictment alleges that Bollinger impeded the normal breathing or blood circulation of a household member by applying pressure to the throat of the victim. It also alleges that Bollinger struck a Sheriff’s Deputy with his hand as he was being detained.
The Austin County Grand Jury also indicted:
20-year-old Ruben William Morin, charged with Sexual Assault. The alleged offense occurred June 22nd.
27-year-old Francisco Xavier Chavez and 31-year-old Isaac Hernandez, both charged with Attempted Aggravated Robbery from October 19th. Hernandez was also charged with Evading Arrest or Detention with a Vehicle.
39-year-old Bryan William Ramsey, for Assault of a Family or Household Member Impeding Breath or Circulation, from October 11th.
44-year-old Michael Terrell Thomas, for Burglary of a Building, from November 15, 2019.
32-year-old Michelle Andrea Gonzales, charged with Theft of Property between $2,500 and $30,000 and Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, both occurring October 11th.
71-year-old Allen Walker, for Forgery of a Check with an Elderly Victim, from October 16th.
22-year-old Isaiah Uriah Davis, for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon and Possession of Marijuana between 4 ounces and 5 pounds, both from October 30th.
31-year-old James Banks, charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, occurring October 9th.
32-year-old Gary Karl Luetge, Jr., for Driving While Intoxicated Third or More Offense, from September 26th.
25-year-old Devin Lee Wilkins, for Possession of Marijuana between 4 ounces and 5 pounds, from October 22nd.
27-year-old Deion Christopher Bates, 41-year-old Sam Jefferson King, and 31-year-old Cedric Inez Penrice, Jr., all for Possession of a Controlled Substance.
