BAYLOR SCOTT & WHITE SEEKING ADDITIONAL VACCINE DOSES

They are using their available resources to support the Washington County subHUB.
Officials at Baylor Scott & White Health continue to push for more vaccines in the Brazos Valley but is waiting for the state. They have not been issued additional doses to distribute to the area.
Hospital personnel say they are, "continuing to collaborate with community leaders and the state of Texas on the COVID-19 vaccination effort." Baylor Scott & White is also applying for additional vaccine hub locations.
The Washington County subHUB has administered 14,500 first does so far, and began administering second doses of the vaccine Friday.
Baylor Scott & White encourage those eligible to register and get vaccinated as soon as possible.
A statement was issued Friday by BS&W officials:
We continue to collaborate with community leaders and the state of Texas on the COVID-19 vaccination effort. Vaccine allocations are determined by the state, and while they remain limited, we are applying for additional doses and vaccine hub locations.
To help inoculate the community, we are dedicating resources to support the Washington County subHUB. Baylor Scott & White has been engaged with the vaccine distribution planning at the Washington County subHUB and is supplying healthcare personnel to help administer the vaccine.
We want to encourage everyone eligible to get vaccinated as soon as possible. You can locate a state-designated hub near you on the Texas vaccine hub list, which is linked from our website – bswhealth.com.
More data continues to become available to us validating the safety and efficacy of receiving the vaccine and further reinforcing our trust in the science, research and its sound reasoning.
