TRIAL BEGINS IN BRYAN FOR WOMAN ACCUSED IN DAUGHTER’S DEATH

The trial has begun in Brazos County for a Bryan woman, accused in the death of her 3-year-old child.

37-year-old Virginia Ann Adams is charged with Injury to a Child and Tampering with Physical Evidence with the Intent to Impair a Human Corpse in the 2018 death of Rayven Shield.

Adams was arrested after her deceased daughter was discovered by police buried behind their Castle Heights home.

Adams was arrested along with her boyfriend, 52-year-old Patrick Wilson, Sr., who died before he could ever be tried on charges.

The jury in the trial was seated Monday and testimony began shortly after that in the 361st District Court at the Brazos County Courthouse.

  1. Virginia Adams is a wonderful woman who was proving herself to be just that. She was working hard when I was in the Brazos County Detention Center taking “Decision Making” with her. She became a great friend and mentor, although she knew she had some issues to work through. This woman will forever hold a special place in my heart.
