KWHI ‘CANDIDATES FORUM’ FOR BRENHAM SCHOOL BOARD WEDNESDAY

The second of KWHI’s two “Candidates Forums” featuring the local candidates in May’s election is set for tonight (Wednesday).

Brenham City Council candidates speak at KWHI's "Candidates Forum" on April 7th at Brenham National Bank. Wednesday's forum will feature candidates from the Brenham School Board.

The forum last Wednesday highlighted the candidates in the Brenham City Council race.  Tonight, it’s the Brenham School Board’s turn.  The forum will be held at 5:30 p.m. at Brenham National Bank.

All five of the candidates in the contested school board race have been invited and plan to come to the forum.  Those include Board Vice President Melvin Ehlert and challengers Christine Giese and Jared Krenek, along with trustee Tommie Sullivan and challenger Michelle Walbeck.

The forum will not be open to attendance from the general public due to COVID-19, but the public can still submit questions prior to and during the forum by emailing mail@kwhi.com.

KWHI’s Ed Pothul will moderate the forum and take questions from the public and from news media.

The forum will be broadcast live on KWHI AM 1280 and FM 101.7.  It will also be streamed live on kwhi.com and on the KWHI mobile app.
