BLINN BOARD TO DISCUSS BRENHAM CAMPUS FACILITIES, SWEAR IN TRUSTEES

The Blinn Board of Trustees will meet today (Tuesday) to consider several items relating to Brenham Campus facilities.

The board will take up the naming of the livestock annex building, potentially proceed with the design and a guaranteed maximum price for upgrades at Leroy Dreyer Field, and consider purchasing computer equipment for the science, technology, engineering and innovation building under construction.

Also today, Precinct 1 trustee Rev. Randy Wells and Precinct 4 trustee Rebecca Ehlert will be sworn in for six-year terms, after being unopposed in the May 1st election.  The board will then elect board officers for two-year terms ending in May 2023.

Before the board’s regular meeting, trustees will hold a workshop to hear an update on the district-wide facilities master plan, which covers specific goals and visions for the Blinn College District across its entire 13-county area.  The board will also receive an update on COVID-19 protocols and discuss the Fiscal Year 2021-22 budget.

The board will meet at 4 p.m. for the workshop and at 5:30 p.m. for its regular meeting.  Public access will occur in rooms 2 and 3 of the Brenham Campus Student Center.  The meetings will be livestreamed on Blinn College’s YouTube channel.
