VIDEO RELEASED TARGETING SMALL BUSINESSES FOR RETAIL INCUBATOR IN DOWNTOWN BRENHAM

Local economic officials have released a video targeting local artisans and makers for the retail incubator opening this fall in downtown Brenham.

On Wednesday, Brenham | Washington County Economic Development and Main Street Brenham released a video for YellowTruck Market, which will launch out of the old Bode and Tonn building at 101 East Main Street.

The incubator team is seeking businesses within a 60-mile radius of Brenham already selling their products online or through social media.  The program will assist participating businesses with training, cost-sharing, rent and promotion.

The selection criteria includes products that fill downtown retail business gaps like men's and children's items, jewelry makers, bakers, merchandise designers, leather or wood crafters, or other emerging maker businesses, and minority-owned businesses.

Applications to participate in the retail incubator program are now available online at www.yellowtruckmarket.com and will be accepted through August 9th.

The video can be seen on YouTube through the link here.

  1. If the city of Brenham, and the city council were more “business” friendly, maybe these spaces would be filled. There is a building downtown that is not being developed due to the cities demands on the owner.
Has the city forgotten it got where it is because of the small downtown business?
I had high hopes for the newly elected city council but I guess the new council is only worried about the big boxes out on 290.
