The board appointed Allison Bentke to represent Precinct 3.  Bentke will serve the remainder of Teddy Boehm’s term through May 2023, after Boehm resigned her seat in a letter to the board.  Boehm had served as a trustee since October 2013, after filling the unexpired term of her husband, Dr. Henry Boehm.

In 2010 and 2021, Bentke was named Brenham ISD’s Teacher of the Year. She has also been recognized as a Texas Wildlife Association Woman of the Land honoree in 2010, as the Washington Soil and Water Conservation District and Region III Teacher of the Year in 2017, and as an HEB Excellence in Education state semifinalist in 2018.
