ONE TRANSPORTED AFTER ACCIDENT BETWEEN BRENHAM, WASHINGTON

One person was taken to the hospital after a two-vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon northeast of Brenham.
According to Washington Volunteer Fire Assistant Chief Carl Horn, a Nissan Altima rear-ended a Chevy pickup truck shortly before 2:30 p.m. at Highway 105 and Prayer Lane.
The driver of the Altima was taken by ambulance to Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Brenham, where they were treated and released. No other injuries were reported.
The Washington Volunteer Fire Department and Citizens on Patrol performed traffic control as the scene was cleared.
DPS says failure to control speed was the contributing factor for the accident.
